Question: Are You Looking To Learn Spanish, Quickly And Without Spending A Ton Of Money?

If So, Then You Need To Check Out This Program, Called Rocket Spanish, It's What Me And Countless Others Have Used Click To Reveal!

i am considering homeschooling for my almost 3 yr old and, in time, my now almost three month old. need advic?

i am a single mom in college, and i am planning on working full time but my mother who desperatley wants to be at home with my girls all day wants to home school. we live ic NC now but we are moving back to DC once i finish these degrees that i am working on. what sort of things should i do to prepare her?
my oldest daughter can count to 20 in english and spanish, she can count to three in mandarin chinese, and can say quite a few phrases in both chinese and spanish. she sings songs and learns them very quickly. she can speak in almost perfect complete sentences although she is almost three so the actual words are a bit difficult understand. she is also learning to read and write. she just got the vtech tote and go laptop and it teaches letter and number recognition and the sounds the letters make and tons of other things.
she has the your baby can read program and it seems like it may help. it does the same things that i have been doing with her since she was about 4 months old. she knows the abc song, twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider, etc all of her colors even light and dark (ie light green dark green), even peach. she can draw almost anything (she can draw ELMO). and knows all of letters in sign language. she knows the difference between nost of the big cats (tigers, jaguars, lions, etc), most ost of her animals and can draw a dog and a wolf that actually look like a dog and a wolf. she enjoys cartoons, and pretend time. she currently believes that she is a mermaid princess. i just dont know what else i need to do, i am a stay at home mom right now with an almost preschooler and an almost 3 month old.
what can i do to prepare my mother for homeschooling my daughters and convince her that she needs to move with us to continue their schooling once we move?
ANY suggestions are welcome.
she also knows her shapes, directions and most oppositesand of course my personal fave, she can operate my cell phone
my reason for wanting to homeschool my children is that my oldest can learn most things quickly and some things more slowly. i want them to learn as much as possible at their own pace.
i was, believe it or not, VERY bored in elementary school it wasn’t until middle that i felt more comfortable and challenged enough to succed in school. i want to homescol through elemtary school. we have a large ext. family with lots of kids and i would love to have them interact with them mostly. i have few friends here (very small town) and most of themhave kids so they would get interaction. but for now oldest daughter is inlove with learning, it is all fun for her. she loves music and drawing so we draw anddance write and sing and play football and soccer. i was thinking of pursuing my bs/ms through GWU in DC online if i can take it from here. that would give my girls the time to get through elementary school so my mom wouldn’t have to move.

You don’t need to prepare your children for homeschooling, life does that. I don’t know that you can convince your mother to move so she can continue schooling your children. If she’s going to do you such a huge favour, you need to be accommodating her, not the other way around. What she needs to know about how to school your children depends on the two of you. What sort of education do you both want for the children and what are you willing to compromise on?

She actually sounds reallly intelligent i would def. put her into normal school. Maybe one day you’ll have a smart, rich, successful daughter who is most importantly happy. As well as your other baby. I personally don’t like home schooling because i feel that it would isolate a child from communication to the outer world. So yeah there’s my opinion. Good luck(:

it really does sound like your daughter is intelligent and that’s something you shouldn’t waste. yeah people say public school helps them socially but honestly when your home schooled it doesn’t mean your locked out from society and cant speak for yourself.. so i say try it and hire a teacher to come teach her…. i also recommend you put her in a sport so she can be good by the time in high school where she can do sports there and be recognized as a well rounded student when applying for college comes around. but let me tell you this, home schooling is not easy, its much harder then it sounds and i don’t exclude the fact that public school is a great place to learn. i say research the benefits online and see whats best for your daughter..

    Good luck.
